BOOKLET - Centenary of Aviation - History IX
A prestige booklet to commemorate the centenary of Aviation.
On the 17th December 2003, the first heavier than air powered flying machine that could be controlled in a sustained flight took off. This first and historic flight only lasted a mere 12 seconds and covered a distance of 37 metres. Four more flights were made that day, the longest of which measured 260 metres.
The rest is now history and this booklet and the stamps feature different planes that have been part of the Aviation History of the World ever since.
