Since the time when Jersey became an island between 6000 and 5000BC, the people who have inhabited the Island have learned tom use the surrounding seas to their advantage.

Some have fished and some have sailed but whatever their chosen occupations, their ancestors have bequeathed a rich maritime heritage to look back upon. This booklet illustrates and describes this marvellous heritage.
